Direct Bilirubin is also called conjugated bilirubin. The free bilirubin changing in liver cells conjugate with glucuronic acid to form cnojugated bilirubin. The direct bilirubin increasing caused obstructive jaundice, hepatocellular jaundice. And it is usually seen in primary biliary cirrhosis, biliary obstruction. Direct bilirubin content could increase in hepatitis and cirrhosis patients. So the content of total bilirubin and direct bilirubin increasing could be used as aid to judge that intrahepatic and extrahepatic obstructive jaundice, pancreatic head carcinoma, capillary cholangiohepatitis and other bile stasis syndrome.
Direct Bilirubin DB Test kit is used for the quantitative detection of Direct Bilirubin in human serum.
